What’s special about the places that I’ve been to in my life is their renoun for good food. Italy, France, Turkey, Spain, Thailand…etc, Kuwait can be better sometimes.
If you go to the right place in Kuwait, and pick wisely from the menu, you can brag about gastronomy in this small desert country.
1-Wasabi (Japanese contemporary cuisine): Skip the soup, unless you are Miso fanatic. Start with Salmon & Avocado Salad and fried breaded crab sticks. I have them combined sometimes . For main course, if you want to stick to sea food, shrimp & hamor-or Salmon- teppenyaki is ideal. If you don’t mind having La carne, go with the delicate beef teppenyaki or any of the beef dishes wasabi has, ‘coz the probability that you dislike one of them is low.
2-Golden Chopsticks (Chinese traditional): We usually go for winter dinner. We can’t not order the Hot & Sour soup, followed by shrimp salad, they are simple and delicious. Now for the main course we usually share mixed Shou mein(# 100 in the menu) and Shrimp-or chicken- dumplings. I loooove them.
3-Breds: any mixture of the wonderful salads they present would be perfectly delicious and nutritious. Most of what I ordered from the menu was good, be it burgers, raviolis, soups…etc. The pastries are unbelievable, and the desserts-pistacho millefuille and Strawberry delight if not all, are miraculous.
5- La biella: (Italian) it’s a combination of everything; good food, great service, cozy atmosphere wonderful location, and a great drink of lemon and mint topped with passion fruit seeds. As for the food, go for anything depending on your taste; sea food-I personally exclude oysters- or chicken. Avoid beef for it being below expectations comparing with other dishes.
I wish you a healthy and joyful experience. :)
